🌿 About Jan Harrison
I’m a qualified counsellor based in South Cheshire, offering a calm and confidential space for people to explore what’s troubling them—whether that’s a specific issue, a sense of overwhelm, or something harder to name.
My practice is grounded in compassion, curiosity, and respect. I work integratively, drawing from a range of therapeutic approaches to suit your individual needs. This means we’ll work together in a way that feels right for you—whether that’s gently exploring past experiences, navigating present challenges, or finding new ways forward.
🧠 A Special Focus on Neurodiversity and Trauma
I have a particular interest in how trauma and neurodiversity intersect, and how these experiences shape our sense of self, relationships, and wellbeing. Whether you’re navigating life with ADHD, autism, or other forms of neurodivergence, I offer a space where your experiences are understood and valued.
Trauma can affect anyone—and it doesn’t always come from a single event. Sometimes it’s the accumulation of feeling unseen, unheard, or unsafe over time. My approach is trauma-informed, meaning I prioritise safety, choice, and collaboration in every session.

For those who wish to integrate their faith into therapy, I offer a respectful and open-hearted space to do so. I welcome clients from all backgrounds and beliefs, and I honour the role that spirituality can play in healing and meaning-making.
🌱 Qualifications and Approach
I hold a Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I adhere to their ethical framework and am committed to ongoing professional development.
Sessions are available in person—within a peaceful garden therapy space—or online, depending on your preference.
